Individuals & Couples

The answer varies based on your unique situation. This is exactly the type of thing we will work to determine during your custom ‘Entering Medicare’ consultation.

The three-month window allows us time to plan ahead and get you the best possible plan. Procrastination can be expensive and stressful.  HMM does not want you to lose your money or your mind.

With that said, a three-month lead may not be possible. Sometimes you don’t have any control over when you had to launch this process. We will do our best to accommodate you regardless.

Absolutely. HMM offers remote Medicare help for clients in all 50 states. We can also help adult children in one city/state manage Medicare coverage for their parents in a different part of the country.

The initial Entering Medicare consultation is a one-time charge but it is priced per person. It includes a one-hour consultation, research for and enrollment in a Part D drug plan, and continuing client care. Drug plan enrollments are a separate charge per individual during the Open Enrollment Period October 15-December 7 of each year.

HMM uses a HIPPA-compliant server and HIPAA-compliant software to ensure that your sensitive financial and personal health information is kept encrypted and out of the hands of the bad guys.

This depends on when the change occurs.  If we are still in the Open Enrollment Period, HMM will run another evaluation at no additional cost to you.  If it’s outside the Open Enrollment Period, changing plans will only be possible if you move. But we still have a few tricks up our sleeves to try to help you save money in the meantime.

No – we can only determine what money if any, you might save after checking your medication list. We can absolutely promise peace of mind. If there’s money to be saved, we’ll find it. Each year, roughly half of our clients need to switch Part D plans, and they typically save $1,000 – 3,000.

It takes time and expertise to perform a thorough and accurate evaluation. Companies that offer this service for free are often getting paid a commission from insurance providers and may have a vested interest in recommending sub-optimal plans.

Even if your plan does not change, you have received valuable peace of mind knowing you haven’t wasted money.

HMM can email an invoice from which you can pay with a credit card or check.

Yes! They still need one, and it needs to be the best fit for the pharmacy the home uses. The nursing home will dispense the medications, but the billing department sends the bill to the drug plan used by your loved one. If that plan is not a good fit with the nursing home’s pharmacy, you could be spending hundreds or thousands of extra dollars. If you want your loved one’s plan evaluated by HMM, just let us know what facility they live in, their medications and what their current drug plan is. We’ll take it from there.

Businesses and Financial Advisors

No – but we can guarantee that they will leave the seminar with a far greater understanding of their options. This improves their ability to make an informed choice, which in turn increases the likelihood that they will switch to Medicare. In some cases, it is not in their best interest to leave the group policy! HMM seminars help them decide what is best for them.

Your Human Resources staff have a lot of balls to juggle, especially during re-enrollment periods. HMM works with your team to make sure our specialist presents accurate information to your employees and is available for their questions. This frees up your associates to handle all the other demands of their roles. If your HR department is the quarterback, then HMM is your Special Teams. Let’s take the field to do the best for your company.

As the COVID-19 crisis has shown, virtual meetings and presentations serve a useful (and sometimes essential) purpose. Though we can provide virtual seminars, experience has shown that employees become more engaged in the process with a live presenter. This increases the likelihood they may choose Medicare, which will then save your organization money. Therefore, it is in everybody’s best interest to provide live presentations whenever possible.

Absolutely!  And hefty fines, too.  However, education is not incentivizing. At HMM, our goal is to inform your Medicare-eligible (or soon to be) employees of their options so they can choose the best use of their health care dollars. For some, Medicare may be a better fit. For others, staying on the company plan is best.  We always emphasize an employee’s ability to stay on the group plan if they desire. You show compassion and concern for your valuable workforce when you equip them to be good stewards of their healthcare decisions.

There is no price tag on peace of mind, and for many, the anxiety itself is very costly.

You might only meet your clients a couple of times a year for a portfolio review, but they go to the pharmacy every month or every quarter. They get anxious when confronted with the cost of their medications. Nobody likes to pay more than they have to, even if they can afford it. With HMM, you provide them with confidence and peace of mind. These things have value regardless of the size of their portfolio.

Why wouldn’t they? Even with great insurance, they might be wasting money once they are of Medicare age, and this might become more pronounced during retirement.

Regardless of  savings, your employees will appreciate the opportunity to hear from a Help My Medicare advisor before making their choice. Because, the reality is, they are already getting bombarded by mail and calls and TV ads. They need and want to know what’s The Right Thing To Do. Isn’t it best if their own employer cares enough to help them make that choice?

Then we really need to talk! If you are self-employed, the timing and cost considerations regarding Medicare become even more critical than if you were on a large group health plan.

I don't live in Texas. Can you help me?

Absolutely. HMM offers remote Medicare help for clients in all 50 states. We can also help adult children in one city/state manage Medicare coverage for their parents in a different part of the country.

My wealth management clients are usually high net worth individuals. Why would saving a few dollars on drugs make a difference to them?
